The Ashton Pipe brand was created on 1983 by pipe maker Bill Ashton-Taylor and the renowned pipe aficionado R D Field. The following year Robert Levin, following discussion with R D Field, named his new cigars Ashton based on the excellent reputation built by Ashton pipes. Quite a relaxing light aroma whilst burning clean and even from start to finish. The flavours are woody tasting but sweet, with the nuts and maple tones and hints of coconut and chocolate. Best results are to smoke it calm and slow. Michael – C.Gars Ltd
