Established in the mid 1800’s in Kendal, Gawith Hoggarth have been providing pipe tobacco for 3 generations. Using the finest high quality and raw materials available, from day one Gawith Hoggarth have used the same traditional methods when producing their world famous tobacco, and in some instances, they still use the original machinery from the factories early years. Opening the packet reveals coarse cut rich black ribbons entwining with chestnut and golden brown strands. The aroma is sweet and fruity, of the added flavours but you can also make out the base tobacco notes too. It’s easy to pack into the bowl and burns evenly, thoroughly and gives a long, cool smoke. David Grieve –
I enjoy the pleasing aroma and taste of this blend. It smokes well, slowly and evenly. Very satisfying.
